Scanner PDF: Scan & Edit offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions managed entirely by Apple In-App Purchases. This page explains how subscriptions, billing, free trials, cancellations, renewals, and refunds work.

1. Available Plans

Scanner PDF currently offers three subscription plans. All plans unlock the same premium features.

Premium features include: unlimited document scanning, OCR text extraction in 20+ languages, PDF-to-Word/Excel/PowerPoint/JPG conversion, document signing and form filling, merging, splitting and compressing PDFs, password protection, and no watermarks.

Pricing note: These are U.S. reference prices in USD. Prices may vary depending on your country, region, local currency, taxes, and App Store pricing rules. The final price will always be shown in the App Store purchase screen before you confirm your payment.

Eligible new subscribers may receive a 3-day free trial on the Weekly plan. The Monthly and Yearly plans do not include a free trial.


2. Free Trial

Scanner PDF offers a 3-day free trial for new subscribers on eligible plans. During the trial:

  • You have full access to all premium features.
  • You will not be charged during the trial period.
  • If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically start and your payment method will be charged the regular plan price.

Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is typically available only once per Apple ID, although availability may vary by region and account history. If you previously had a trial on Scanner PDF and let it convert or cancelled, you may not be eligible for another trial.


3. Billing and Renewal

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or after the free trial ends if applicable.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • The renewal will be charged at the price shown by Apple at the time of renewal.
  • Price changes: Apple will notify you in advance if pricing changes and may require your explicit consent before applying the new price to your account.

4. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will keep premium access until that date.

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen (your Apple ID).
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select Scanner PDF and tap Cancel Subscription.

If you cancel during your free trial, you will not be charged and premium access will end immediately at the end of the trial.


5. Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple. We cannot issue refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, you can request one through Apple:

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. Select your Scanner PDF purchase.
  4. Submit your refund request following Apple's instructions.

Refund approval is at Apple's discretion and is governed by Apple's refund policy. Outside the EU, refund eligibility is typically reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In the EU, you may have additional consumer rights, including a 14-day right of withdrawal under certain conditions.


6. Changing Plans

You can switch between Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly plans at any time through your Apple subscription settings. When you change plans:

  • Upgrading (e.g. Weekly → Yearly) typically takes effect immediately, with prorated billing handled by Apple.
  • Downgrading (e.g. Yearly → Monthly) takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • Plan changes follow Apple's standard policies and are processed entirely by Apple.

7. Restore Purchases

You can restore your subscription at any time through the app if you reinstall Scanner PDF, change devices, or sign in with the same Apple ID on another iPhone or iPad. To restore:

  1. Open Scanner PDF.
  2. Tap "Restore Purchases" in the paywall or in Settings.
  3. If Apple confirms you have an active subscription tied to your Apple ID, premium access will be restored.

Restoring purchases requires the same Apple ID used to make the original subscription.


8. What Happens When You Unsubscribe

  • You keep premium access until the end of your current billing period.
  • After that, premium features are disabled and you will be limited to the free version of the app.
  • Your scanned documents and all locally stored data remain on your device. We do not delete anything when you unsubscribe.
  • You can resubscribe at any time to regain premium access.

9. Family Sharing

Scanner PDF subscriptions support Apple's Family Sharing where applicable. If you have a Family Sharing group set up on your Apple ID and have enabled subscription sharing, eligible family members may also access premium features. Family Sharing setup and management is handled entirely by Apple through your device Settings.
