These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Scanner PDF: Scan & Edit mobile application ("Scanner PDF", "App", "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Scanner PDF, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These Terms also constitute the End User License Agreement (EULA) required by the Apple App Store.
Scanner PDF is a mobile application that allows you to scan physical documents using your iPhone camera, edit them, sign them, convert them to and from PDF, merge, split, compress, and protect them with a password. Document processing happens primarily on your device using Apple's native frameworks (VisionKit, Vision Framework, PDFKit, PencilKit). Certain features, such as converting PDFs to editable document formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), require server-side processing and are only triggered when you actively initiate them.
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Scanner PDF. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian before agreeing to them.
To use Scanner PDF, you create an account using either email and password (managed by Supabase) or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or are used for fraudulent or abusive purposes.
Subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use Scanner PDF on Apple-branded products that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use. This license is governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and by the Licensed Application End User License Agreement available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
Scanner PDF offers premium features through auto-renewing subscription plans. Pricing, billing periods, and trial terms are clearly displayed on the in-app paywall before you commit to a subscription. Pricing may vary by country, currency, and time of purchase.
By subscribing, you authorize Apple to charge your selected payment method at the end of each billing period at the then-applicable rate. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Auto-renewal can be turned off at any time through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
If your selected plan includes a free trial, the trial begins immediately upon purchase. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the price disclosed on the paywall. You can cancel during the trial without charge.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to premium features until that date. Refund requests are governed by Apple's refund policy and must be submitted to Apple directly. We do not process refunds because we do not handle payments.
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price increase will be communicated through the App or by email before it takes effect, and you will have the opportunity to accept the new price or cancel your subscription before the next renewal.
You retain full ownership of any documents, scans, signatures, or other content you create, capture, or import using Scanner PDF ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
Your Content is stored locally on your device. We do not access, read, store, or analyze the content of your documents on our servers, except when you actively initiate a PDF conversion that requires server-side processing (see Privacy Policy for details). In that specific case, the document you select is transmitted solely to perform the conversion you requested and is not retained beyond what is reasonably necessary to deliver the result.
By using Scanner PDF, you represent and warrant that:

We may modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable laws, or our business practices. Updated Terms will be posted within the App and on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the App when reasonably possible. Your continued use of Scanner PDF after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
